L'APARADOR (the SHOP WINDOW)
by Marta Pol

The aim of Emissions from the Aparador has been to provoke a new relationship between artist-work-spectator, based on the broadcasting of a series of messages from the Museum’s aparador to the outside world and viceversa.

In this way, and with the idea of filtrating into the lives of the people of Mollet, the artists have used all available resources to make their proposals known, whether it be through advertising (written, posters, banners), the media (newspapers, magazines, television, radio...), day-to-day interpersonal relations (markets, businesses, bars, public spaces)... in all, integrating artistic activity into the population’s daily lives, so that their projects manage to establish a bond of familiarity between the sender and the receiver, through content, communication strategies or different levels of involvement and/or participation. Something which has made the real performance spread beyond the limits of the Museum’s walls.

------------------------------------------------------------

The APARADOR and seasonal flights, has consisted in working on the creativisual experience of the new relationship established between the artist, the work and the spectator.

The new artistic feeling has emphasized the vulnerability and the fragility of nature, both in art and in life. It has evoked time and space, evolution and the mutations caused by physical changes and the perceptions of different times of the year, the seasons, which have been reflected in the Aparador. This situation has meant that the perceptions of the works vary every minute, since circumstances change, just as states of mind and the concept of space.
