THE ARTIST’S HOUSE

1. Pre-school education

Title: Let’s open the cupboard (the Casa del Pintor Abelló’s educational pack)
Description: Pre-school educational pack in the form of a toy wardrobe, containing a DVD and various games to study the content of the Casa del Pintor and the figure of Joan Abelló. This is followed by a tour of the Casa del Pintor.
Objectives: To become acquainted with, experience, reflect, work as a group, widen the vision and the senses.
Workshop: New collection of postcards. This will take place in the classroom, once the tour is over, and will consist of patricipating in the launching of a new collection of postcards. The instructions for the pack include different proposals for plastic work, related to the work of Joan Abelló.
Duration: 1-hour tour
Price: 2 € per person (includes the tour and use of the pack).


2. Primary education, first and middle grades

Title: Abelló, the travelling painter.
Description: Dynamic visit with optional workshop
Objectives: To take an imaginary journey through the paintings of Joan Abelló’s travels; to discuss the different landscapes and cultures.
Workshop: Preparation of the journey itself. Based on different visual materials, the students will prepare their own journey.
Duration: 45-minute tour. 35-minute workshop
Price: 2 € per person, if both the tour and workshop are included. 20 € per group/class, for the dynamic tour only.


3. Upper primary grades and compulsory higher education

Title: A world of landscapes.
Description: Guided tour and workshop.
Objectives: To show the landscape as a source of artistic inspiration and explore the relationship between written and painted landscape based on the analysis of some literary and plastic examples.
Workshop: Preparation of a travel log.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes/90 minutes.
Price: 2 € per person


4. Second Course Compulsory Higher Education, Higher Secondary Education and Professional Training

Títle: The Casa del Pintor Abelló.
Description: Guided tour.
Objectives: To show and explain the collection’s characteristics, penetrating deep into the magic world of the Casa del Pintor and approaching the figure of Joan Abelló as a creator and collector.
Duration: 1 hour.
Price: 20 € per group/class.



ABELLÓ MUSEUM

1. Pre-school education and first two grades of primary education

Title: The magic of colours.
Description: Dynamic tour with optional workshop.
Objectives: To work with forms, colours, silhouette and volume, by observing the collection and with the support of additional material. Simple, basic concepts.
Workshop: We create magic, work with lines, colour and technique.
Duration: 45-minute tour. 35-minute workshop.
Price: 2 € per person, if both the tour and workshop are included. 20 € per group/class for the dynamic tour only.


2. Middle and higher grades of primary education and first course of compulsory secondary education

Title: The artist and the workshop.
Description: Tour and workshop.
Objectives: To become acquainted with the artist’s workshop and his working tools; to show and comment on the different kinds of painting, with the support of audiovisual material, and the concepts worked out in Joan Abelló’s art.
Workshop: Plastic work and analysis of the subject, genre and colour.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes/90 minutes.
Price: 2 € per person.


3. Middle and higher grades of primary education and first course of compulsory secondary education

Title: And how do you express yourself?
Description: Dynamic tour and optional workshop.
Objectives: To work with the pieces in the collection, the techniques and supports. The tour will be reinforced with pictorial and sculptured material, along with a selection of more contemporary supporting material.
Workshop: Preparation of a plastic work using different techniques.
Duration: 45-minute tour. 35-minute workshop.
Price: 2 € per person, if both the tour and workshop are included. 20 € per group/class, for the dynamic tour only.


4. Second compulsory secondary education course, higher secondary education and professional training

Title: A walk through the avant-gardists.
Description: Dynamic tour and game.
Objectives: To become acquainted with the different avant-gardists, using visual supporting material, and to relate to them through the work of Joan Abelló. To conclude the visit, an experimental game will be played.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes.
Price: 20 € per group.
