The Joan Abelló Municipal Foundation is an independent body of the Mollet del Vallès Town Council, which has the following objectives:

Administrate and manage the collection of property and real estate donated by the artist.
Administrate and manage the Abelló Museum and the Casa del Pintor Abelló.
Conserve, catalogue, research, exhibit and diffuse Joan Abelló's work and that of the donation fund.
Promote and develop plastic arts in general, and especially the works of Mollet and Catalan artists.
Publish books, documents, films, computer and audiovisual material.
Create a library specialized in art in general.
