 Art fund

The Foundation’s art fund consists of nearly 6,000 works. Its main features are the Catalan painting and sculpture collections of the 19th and 20th centuries, the Romanic and baroque carvings, along with the collections of Asiatic art, black art, clothing, the art of bullfighting, furniture, porcelain and glass.

In the collection we find, apart from Abelló’s paintings, works by  Picasso, Dalí, Miró, Tàpies, Brossa, Sorolla, Mir, Nonell, Casas, Gimeno, Juan Gris, Clavé, Cuixart, Pantoja de la Cruz, Boguerau, Millet, Pellicer or Fortuny. There is also an extensive collection of sculptures by Manolo Hugué, Lluís Montané, Marià Benlliure, J. Clarà, Llaurador, Rebull and Navarro.

The fund will shortly be increased by approximately 3,000 pieces, thanks to the signing of a second donation which also includes all the buildings converted into a new space to be called the Artist’s Studio.
